On 23rd May 2025, we held our first live in-house portrait drawing/painting session with 5 volunteers to sit as models. Working in groups of 4 artists, it proved an enjoyable and valuable afternoon. Creating such work in the space of 2 hours is not easy, especially for those attempting the subject perhaps for the first time.
A few of the portraits produced:
March 2025 saw an all day workshop with professional artist David DJ Johnson painting a brilliant “Winter Mountain”, following on from his demo to the group a few weeks beforehand. The day was well attended and enjoyed by all, including David himself who provided an equipment list beforehand. Excellent work was achieved by everyone.
