The 26th Annual Art show proved to be a resounding success with many visitors through the doors and many paintings sold. More great news to follow but for now the result of the raffle, which took £300, is:
drumroll…..
Catherine Beale painting went to Chris Townson from F/Cotterell, a friend of Andrew’s
Tom Hughes oil beach hut went to Margaret Latham, a long standing member.
Congratulations to both.
Further updates to follow as soon as possible.

FROME VALLEY ART GROUP SWEEPS THE BOARD!
Frome Valley Art Group members took all three places at the Yate Open Exhibition held at the Yate Heritage Centre this week. No one knew that judging was going to take place or even who was doing the judging. The mayor was at the Preview Evening and no doubt would be presenting the prizes.
1st Jim Weech “Lady in Watercolour”
2nd Louise Burns Jones “Lion Cub”
3rd Dave Betty “Waiting for passengers in Curacao”
Supporting cast:
Martin Baum, Jenny Sarafian, Sue Bruten, Julie Wyatt, Panna Patel, Andrew Allsop
In fact, without From Valley Art Group’s submissions, there would have been very few paintings on display.
The exhibition runs until 4:30pm Tuesday 26th April at the Yate Heritage Centre, Church Road, Yate.
This fantastic news comes hot on the heels of Rebecca Ree’s entry into the Cass Art Art Trail in and around Park Street 14-28th March being selected as the judges were ” blown away” by her work.
