Officially called the SAA Frome Valley Art Group, this popular and thriving art group, founded over 27 years ago, meets on Friday afternoons 2:00-4:00pm and Friday evenings 6:30-9:00pm at the Greenfield Centre.

Sessions are structured as relaxed “Paint Your Own”, with members supplying their own equipment. However, we all willingly share our knowledge and expertise during these sessions, and by providing help and inspiration running in-house courses and workshops using a wide variety of mediums including watercolours, oils, pen & wash, acrylics, pastels, drawing and sketching for those wishing to improve or learn new art skills.

We also enjoy demonstrations and workshops by professional artists, for example: Catherine Beale, Tom Hughes, Paul Weaver, Wendy Jelbert, Mark Warner, Tom Shepherd.

In May each year we hold our art exhibition, an event which is always well attended by the general public and in support of local charities.

New members, whether experienced artists or novice, are always welcome and encouraged to join us. Those who are new to painting are offered help and tutoring if required, with basic equipment available, if needed, during a trial membership which is free for 2 weeks
