Frome Valley Art Group wishes all our members and friends of the group a
Very Happy Christmas and a Successful 2025.
We recently enjoyed our last session of the year with a splendid afternoon of Festive Fun and Food wherein we raised a total of £140.00 which has been donated to Fareshare South West. Thank you everyone involved and hope we see you in the New Year.
Our new painting year got of to a tremendous start along with the launch of our Facebook page. Membership is thriving, a new Chair and Vice Chair elected, and already some fabulous paintings being created.
Disappointingly, our first watercolour demonstration by professional artist Barry Herniman had to be cancelled today thanks to horrendous rain sweeping across the country over the last couple days causing major travel disruption, not least the closure of parts of the motorway network in our region due to flooding.
We hope to be able to rearrange Barry’s visit soon, so watch this space.

More successes for Frome Valley Art Group, this time to Rebecca Rees, and Sylvia Dyer.
Recently Rebecca won the Drawing /Illustrations prize at the Pittville Park Cheltenham Plein Air art Competition to take home £100, which she tells us she’s going to spend on more art supplies. Well done, Bex.
Painting as Kit Domino, Sylvia received news that her recent painting “English Summer’s Day” is featured in the November issue of Landscape magazine.
Well done and congratulations to you both. Well deserved, as I’m sure you’ll agree.
