Frome Valley Art Group members are deeply saddened by yesterday’s news regarding our beloved Queen Elizabeth II. God bless you, your Majesty, you will be sorely missed. RIP.
Despite this, it has been agreed our sessions will start the autumn term today, 9th September, as scheduled, in the spirit of Keep Calm and Carry On.
Not only was our 2022 Art Exhibition a huge success, we also raised £1,500 for this year’s chosen charity.
Three of our Club Members’ paintings have been selected for this year’s SAA Artist of the Year Competition.
Rebecca Rees in the Flowers or Gardens category with “New Beginnings”
Louise Burns-Jones in the Animal or Wildlife category with “Winter Squirrel”
and
Dave Betty in the Landscapes and Seascapes category with “Woodland Glade”
Excellent news for excellent work.
